- EDGEWORK & BATTLE CAMP -

EDGEWORK & BATTLES ALL DAY!!!

We have a new camp for all 12U/10U players that will focus on Edgework and Power Skating and the application for all kinds of game situation battles. We will provide 30 minutes of all practical edgework drills and training followed by 30 minutes of different battle situations and how to breakdown the edgework and skills needed to be effective.

OBJECTIVE: To have players understand how important edges and power skating are to be able to apply to specific game situations such as battles.

LOCATION: PALMER IMAGING ARENA

AGES: 12U/10U

DATES: SEPTEMBER 6, 13, 20, 27 (every monday)

TIMES: 6:00-7:00pm

PRICE: $200/ALL SESSIONS -or- $60/SESSION

PRACTICE PLAN: The players will have 30 minutes of power skating and edgework instruction from the coaches who will break down each drill and why it applies to situational battles. We will then have 30 minutes of battle scenarios where players will get the chance to see where the specific edgework applies. Coaches will help players in the battles recognize why specific skating is important to being truly effecitve. We will cover both with the puck(puck protection) and without the puck (puck retrieval). This will be a dense hour and with 4 hours total, it will really give the players a solid chance to have plenty of reps and understanding.

CAMP Will INCLUDE:

  • Complete battle specific Edgework and Power Skating

  • Battle scenarios to apply skating and skills

  • Plenty of instruction from coaches and reps for players

  • Healthy snacks, water, and sports drinks

  • Shirt with logo
